The superabsorbent properties of a chamoix leather are quite amazing, with the ability to get rid of all that water when you are rubbing your car down. Most of the time, we only do this when we are giving our vehicle the weekly spruce up, especially when the neighbors can complement us about our work. It goes without saying that you don’t pick up this mat and wring it out as you would with the leather, but just wait for evaporation to do the job for you.

The garage is a favorite place to store important things. Sometimes we need to keep records, like tax papers, for seven years at a time. Imagine the look of horror on your face when you need to find these records, only to discover that rainwater from the garage floor had destroyed them. Now you can see the value of a superabsorbent, can’t you?

The problem of water damage within a garage led to the need for floor mats to be specifically designed as an automobile accessory. Look for them in the size of your vehicle, or you can even get them purpose made and they will look a lot better than your garage floor anyway, as they are constructed in a neutral color, pleasing to the eye.

You may worry about water damage in your garage, but the situation can also be hazardous, especially in winter. The last thing that you want is to slip and fall as you’re getting into or out of your car and not only will the purpose made mat absorb runoff water, it will have a nonslip base to ensure that it stays in place.

Of course, if your garage is so full of junk that you cannot park your car inside, you don’t need a superabsorbent garage floor mat. It’s probably time to be more efficient and clean up this room and not leave your vehicle to the mercy of the elements, year round.
